Strong demand for consultancy services

In today's tougher economic and regulatory environment, local authorities and industrial groups are seeking partners capable of helping them resolve complex development issues with multiple ramifications.  Apart from assistance with the technical aspects, they expect advice on how to build legal and regulatory security into their projects, and how to do that at an acceptable cost.

Our French clients are :

  1. public bodies: French Water Agencies, Voies Navigables de France (waterways authority), ADEME (French Agency for Environment and Energy Management), etc. ;
  1. the major government agencies: Infrastructure, Agriculture, Justice, Environment;
  1. the major public service operators: SNCF, EDF, CEA ;
  1. local government: régions, départements, communes and groups of communes ;
  1. industry and utility operators: petrochemical, construction and agri-food companies, water suppliers and other delegated service providers.

INTERNATIONAL

A capability extending to the institutional sector and programme management

Operating in the international arena from the very beginning, as can be seen from our history in Africa and Asia, SAFEGE has always been at ease in different cultural environments, with the capacity to understand the widely varying situations encountered. In 2008, our international turnover was 2.5 times higher than it was five years previously. Projects span both our core businesses (water and transport/infrastructure account for respectively 50% and 30% of our business) and the institutional sector (water and transport sector policy, consultancy services for refugee relocation programmes), and we are increasingly involved in programme management.

SAFEGE's international clients are :

  1. local, regional, national and international authorities, working with or without development aid from the various donor agencies, including :
  • the French agencies like Agence Française de Développement (AFD), the public revenue department, etc.
  • the international institutions : European Union, World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), African Development Bank (AfDB), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Arab and Japanese funds, etc.
  1. industrial groups and private operators (Renault Spain, SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT, Areva NC).
