The Association scientifique et technique pour l’eau et l’environnement (ASTEE), founded in 1905 as the AGHTM, brings together public and private-sector players in the field of design, construction and operation of urban and rural infrastructure, among them local authorities, the French water agencies, consulting engineers and construction companies.

The association explores the methodological, technological and regulatory aspects of water, wastewater and waste management and provides advice and assistance to those who put sustainable development into practice.

As a member of the board of ASTEE, Safege :

  • sits on the Water Resources and Aquatic Environment commission (CREMA),
  • chairs the "Wet Weather" task force,
  • sponsors the Journées Doctorales de l’Hydrologie Urbaine (French doctoral students workshops on Urban Hydrology) and sits on the scientific committee for that event,
  • contributes regularly to the association's monthly journal "Techniques Sciences Méthodes".
