Water and wastewater infrastructure

Because of the symbolic weight it carries, water is a key part of today’s urban and regional development projects. A river flowing through the heart of the city is an asset that enhances the quality of life its residents. In managing the river effectively – opting where possible for alternative techniques that are mindful of the environment – cities are protecting themselves against the vagaries of nature. The aim will also be to choose design solutions that value water as a precious resource – an asset to be used sparingly, if not reused.
