![]() | I'd got to the point where I was thinking I'd seen everything there was to see when it came to master planning. At that time, my contribution didn't go beyond the drawing board. Here in Morocco, my work is far more concrete and the projects much bigger than anything I might have come across in my old job at Safege's Strasbourg office. Now I work from the client's office which gives me a glimpse of the different aspects of the business, including the operational side.

The opportunity to work in two different sectors
![]() | As a hydraulic engineer, I get to work both on the studies and project management side of both water and wastewater projects. It's great to be able to handle the two sides of the project. It means that I get to see the solutions I identified in the preliminary stages actually being put into practice. And you really get a lot of satisfaction from that !

I'm one of the lucky ones to have chosen what I do
![]() | When I first got here, I was afraid that there would be an intellectual gap between technicians and engineers. But that isn't the case. The people I work with are always willing to give me an explanation when I need it and always receptive to any ideas I may have. It's also great to have the opportunity to travel : I've been to Algeria six times now and I've also worked in Spain. I also get to work with experts, with whom there's a genuine exchange of ideas. I may "only" be a technician, but they listen. And the result of all that is that I wake up every morning feeling I'm one of the lucky ones to have chosen what I do !
