Active in Latin America since the 1950s, SAFEGE opened a branch office in Argentina in 1993 to provide project management services for the investment programme of
Aguas Argentinas (water and sanitation operator for Greater Buenos Aires) and similar services for the province of Santa Fe and the city of Córdoba (drinking water).
Other major projects then followed: in Colombia (project management services for the water and sewage systems of Palmira and establishment of district metering areas in Bogotá), in Peru (engineering services for the renovation and extension of the water distribution systems of Lima and Callao), in Uruguay (improvement of the management of the national water company), in Puerto Rico (technical assistance project management and planning services) and in Honduras, Ecuador and Trinidad and Tobago.
Since the end of the Aguas Argentinas contract in 2007, SAFEGE has continued its activities in Latin America with the support of permanent sales representatives in Argentina, Colombia, Peru and Trinidad and Tobago.
