Safege has been active in Morocco since the construction of the Oum Er Rbia transmission system in 1950. Since then it has steadily expanded its operations and has become the name associated with the country's major water and sewerage master plans for cities like Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech, Agadir and Fès.

In June 2000, Safege opened its Moroccan subsidiary C3E (Conseil Eau, Environnement et Energie) in a move to bring its services closer to its clients and partners. Beneficiaries of a decades-long history, C3E is an integral part of the future of Morocco.

C3E is located in the country's economic capital, Casablanca. The company has a staff of 26 -  60% of whom are engineers and 20% technicians and design/drafting specialists – working mostly on projects in the fields of water supply, hydrogeology, civil engineering, public infrastructure works and urban and rural engineering.

Operations are supervised by resident experts with more than 15 years' international experience of urban hydraulics projects and design and construction supervision. With annual organic growth levels in the 40% range, the firm has seen a four-fold increase in turnover in the space of just four years.
