SAFEGE sets up new Urban and Regional Mobility Unit

More than half of the population currently lives in cities. This number continues to rise, increasing energy consumption and accentuating the impact of greenhouse gases. Mobility in urban areas has become a major challenge for public authorities seeking to improve their environmental performances.

The Urban and Regional Mobility Unit is a multidisciplinary team of urban planners, architects, engineers and transport-sector experts set up by SAFEGE to assist local authorities and provide the expertise they need to meet this challenge.

The Unit will be headed by architect and public transport planning expert, Denis Fuentes.
