Poland is engaged in a nationwide effort to improve transport. The main goal of this project is to ensure the fast, safe and sure railway connection between the biggest Polish Agglomerations of Warsaw and Lodz and has two components:
modernization of the railway line n°17 Lodz Fabryczna – Koluszki;
construction of Lodz Fabryczna Multimodal Transport Hub.
SAFEGE was contracted to supervise the design and modernisation works, in accordance with the contractual conditions of the Yellow Book, first issue of 1999 published by the FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers).
